As humans, we all need to satisfy ourselves in one way or another.
You may need food, water, home, phones, or You may have to pay school fees.
We all have a tall list of what we desire to fulfil.
A want or a need depends on a person's current situation. 
To meet or satisfy your needs/wants, you will require resources.
Basically, you will need money. Cash!
And so we all have to work and earn some form of money in order to satisfy our needs and wants.
Possessing money will enable you to satisfy your needs and wants in three special ways;

i. Transactional
Money will enable you to meet your daily, weekly or monthly expenses.
Expenses here include food, water,phone credits, transport, rent/rate,  etc... etc..
Transactional expenses are pressing expenses. You cannot do without them.
Transactional desires are needs and wants you can not forgo. You need to satisfy them now or very very soon.
